STUNサーバー
STUNサーバーとは
STUN（Session Traversal Utilities for NAT）とは、NAT（Network Address Translation）の後ろにあるデバイスを支援するネットワークプロトコル、またはインターネット上で他のデバイスと通信を行っているファイアウォールのことを指します。STUNサーバーは主にVoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)、ビデオ会議などその他のリアルタイム通信のアプリケーションで使用されています。
STUNサーバーの主な機能
- パブリックIPディスカバリ: STUNサーバーは、デバイスがNATデバイスにより割り当てられたパブリックIPアドレスを探す際に支援します。
- NATタイプ検出: デバイスがどのタイプのNAT配下にあるかを特定する支援を行います（例：フルコーンNAT、制限付きコーンNAT、ポート制限付きコーンNAT、対照NAT）。
- リレー候補ディスカバリ: デバイスがNATトラバーサル戦略を決定することで、ピア2ピア接続を確立するのに必要な情報を提供します。
PhotonSDKにおけるSTUNサーバーの使用方法
Photon Fusionは、クライアントおよびサーバー・ホストのピア間の直接接続を実現するため、サードパーティのSTUNサーバーを使用しています。これは、スムーズな通信、シームレスな接続の確立をPhoton Fusionで実現する上で重要な役割を担っています。
Photon Fusionは、デフォルトでパブリックで使用できるGoogle STUNサーバーを使用していますが、そのGoogle STUNサーバーが使えない場合など、このリストを拡張して使用できます。
